Norfolk Arms Vs Holbrook 2's

What a difference a week makes!

I'm sure that we took more than just a little inspiration from the England game in the morning as we posted an almost identical scoreline against the visitors from Holbrook! With another full bench (2 weeks in a row people!) the Norfolk started strongly right from the off, a product of the more intense warm up I am sure. The first score came just 3 minutes into the game (according to Bosch's new stat app - 3:07) with Mike "Wilko" Wilkinson going over for his first of two for the day. Tim "One Dip" Laker converted then 10 minutes later Iain "Bosch" White powered over after a great backline break by Mike "Chemist" Slator, and this score was also converted. Bosch scored again not too long after, with a little shunt over the line from …well, Shunt (yours truly). Holbrook then put some phases together and managed to bag their only points of the game through a penalty kick. There was still time in the first half for Wilko to bag his second and for Nick "Not All There" Milller to hit the line (and post) at pace for his first of the season.

After a much needed half time break more pressure from the home side resulted in tries for Ian "Space, nah run at the man" Robins, Alex "Nice to have you back" Jones, both scoring a brace in the second 40. The Chemest was also rewarded for a day of hard work with a try and "One Dip" Laker added another 3 conversions in this period. The second half pressure was also kept up by strong additions from the bench by Hugo "Insert Nickname Here" Stevens and Josh "The Dancer". Mad Pole Tomasz "Scrabble" Grezckecz was decent enough to stand in for the opposition after their prop was injured meaning the game could continue with contested scrums. The end result of a good days work by all … 62-3

A great effort by everyone involved and a massive marker set down for the rest of the season, standards set to be kept at that high level and proof that when we play heads up rugby off great set piece, attacking lines at pace and with purpose, we can be more than a handful

Mexican night was a great success with just one or two tequilas being knocked back! (Not many more details are forthcoming at this time).

Pulborough 2's away next week after England hopefully whipping the Sweaties in the morning - Get those bacon sarnies on Aunty Pam, and I might have a coffee or eight as well!
